Have a breastfeeding question? Want to check baby's weight? Need a little help with latch or positioning—or simply want to connect with other breastfeeding families?

Join us at QueenCare in Brockville on the third Thursday of every month for the Breastfeeding Café, a relaxed drop-in space for local families to access lactation support.

​

Whether breastfeeding is going smoothly and you just have a few questions, or you've hit a bump in the road, you're welcome to stop by.

​

Breastfeeding Café may include:

• Short education session tailored to 0-3 months postpartum (newborn phase)

• Infant weight checks

• Latch and positioning support

• Breastfeeding questions and troubleshooting

• Pumping and bottle-feeding questions

• General milk supply education

• Connection with other local breastfeeding families

• Guidance on whether a more comprehensive lactation assessment may be helpful

Come as you are.

You don't need to have a breastfeeding “problem” to attend. Bring your baby, your questions, or simply yourself and connect with other families navigating feeding and early parenthood.

Breastfeeding Café is facilitated by Josee Demitroff, Registered Nurse and Lactation Educator with Lactation for Leaps.

Sometimes a quick question at the Breastfeeding Café uncovers something that would benefit from more individualized attention.

Families attending the Café have the option to book a reduced-fee 30-minute private lactation consultation directly following the drop-in in the QueenCare Quiet Room.

Your consultation includes:

• 30 minutes of one-on-one lactation assessment and support

• Individualized feeding troubleshooting

• Personalized treatment plan

• Follow-up check-in

• Complimentary 1-week trial of Pocket Support for continued questions and troubleshooting

 

30 minutes | Reduced Breastfeeding Café Rate: $75
